WHAT YOU’LL LEARN
Learn how to manage unexpected events in a presentation or meeting, whether it’s a technical malfunction, unwelcome interruption or harsh criticism. You’ll learn key phrases and useful techniques to respond in difficult communication scenarios. Learn how to utilise available support before, during and after your presentation to set yourself up for success.
WHAT WE’LL DO
Using a current project, we’ll discuss ways to anticipate potential issues and risks. We’ll use improvisation exercises to hone listening skills and practice responding in the moment. We’ll analyse real-life examples of challenging meetings and then role-play chosen scenarios. You’ll have the opportunity to workshop your preferred response and benefit from the experience of the group. You’ll come away with useful tools to deploy when future presentations don’t go to plan.
