As director of SNDC, Saneia’s expertise has benefited over 1000 architects, landscape architects and urban designers at leading firms including Aspect Studios, AJC Architects, AECOM, SJB, BVN, Tzannes, HATCH Roberts Day, Urban Initiatives, Complete Urban, MHN Design Union and Stockland. SNDC works with local and state government design offices including Homes NSW and GANSW. Saneia has delivered design communication masterclasses for the Australian Institute of Landscape Architects and the Planning Institute of Australia.

Saneia is creator and host of the podcast Dig Beneath Design, a growing resource of the best design communication tips from top designers. Season 1 of the podcast has had over 10,000 downloads, reaching a global audience in the UK, USA, Europe, Canada and New Zealand.

Saneia is highly engaged with students undertaking Built Environment degrees at UTS, Sydney University, UNSW Sydney and University of Newcastle. Her guest lectures and student workshops have helped architecture and landscape architecture students communicate their projects from first year to masters level. Positive feedback, excellent student engagement and repeat invitations show a growing audience for this content.

Saneia is a regular speaker in the landscape architecture industry, stimulating design communication insights and discussion. She has been invited to speak at Perspectives, and Parlour as well as on podcasts Talking Cities and Think Big.

Saneia joined Tyrrell Studio in 2018, bringing expertise in design communication, planting design and documentation to award-winning projects such as the Southern Parklands Framework Plan, Shale Hills Dog Park and Cockatoo Island Wareamah Master Plan. Saneia’s part-time role allows her to work across multiple projects with particular focus on communicating the studio’s projects to a broad audience.

At the NSW Government Architect’s Office, Saneia delivered over 80 projects, in project landscape architect and leadership roles, becoming expert in collaborative and strategic design. Her skills in diplomacy and communication supported her role as project leader and facilitator, managing diverse interests in pursuit of common ground and successful outcomes.

Saneia has a comprehensive understanding of design issues facing public projects, education, health and cultural facilities, recreation precincts and green infrastructure.

Saneia is a Registered Landscape Architect AILA No.1578 with the Australian Institute of Landscape Architects. She holds a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture (Hons 1st Class) from the University of New South Wales.
