Know what you know
Deal with unexpected events during your presentation
This Wokshop is for
Design professionals who want to learn how to keep calm when faced with reactive audiences, technical malfunctions or critical feedback in their presentation or meeting.
CORE TOPICS
- How much to prepare.
- Respond or react: how to keep your emotions in check.
- Receiving feedback on your work.
WHAT YOU’LL LEARN
Learn how to prepare for unexpected events in a presentation or meeting, whether it’s a technical malfunction, interruption or harsh criticism. You’ll learn tips to keep open, engaged and calm when receiving feedback on your work. You’ll build confidence that you can think on your feet and still get your message across in challenging public-speaking situations.
WHAT WE’LL DO
We’ll analyse common design presentation mishaps using real life examples. We’ll use improvisation exercises to loosen up and practice being in the present moment. We’ll then role play scenarios in which a presentation does not go to plan. You’ll have the opportunity to practice your preferred response.
